How It Works
Place your order.
Your fragrance questionnaire will be emailed to you after purchase.
Tell us about the notes, moods, and fragrance styles you enjoy, along with the name you would like on your label.
After your answers are evaluated, your perfume is given a custom fragrance name inspired by your preferences. Your personal composition is then created and prepared for shipment.
Current Scent Profile
Our fragrance options currently lean more feminine. Cologne-inspired compositions will be available soon. Each formula is created from available fragrance notes selected around your preferences, and the exact composition remains proprietary.
Timing and Changes
Please allow 2–4 weeks for your perfume to ship. This timing begins after your completed questionnaire is received and includes custom blending and resting time. Preorder purchases may require 4-6 weeks. Questionnaire changes may be requested within 24 hours of submission.

Fragrance color and cap style may vary. Cap color will be selected to match the scent profile of your custom composition; specific cap colors are not guaranteed.

Fragrance Naming
We'll create a custom name inspired by your fragrance profile, or you may request a name of your own. Customer-selected names are used as provided, but because the fragrance is composed after your answers are evaluated, we cannot guarantee that your chosen name will reflect the character of the finished scent.
How Fragrance Wears
Fragrance develops differently on every person. Skin chemistry, temperature, environment, application, and other products worn alongside it can affect how individual notes appear. Your fragrance may smell different on your skin than it does in the bottle, from the written profile, or from how another person describes it. This is a normal part of how fragrance wears and does not necessarily mean the composition is incorrect. We cannot guarantee how a fragrance will smell on a particular person.
Complete Your Fragrance Profile
After placing your order, complete The Scent Manuscript fragrance questionnaire and enter the order number from your confirmation email. Your estimated 4–6 week creation period begins after the completed questionnaire is submitted.
Composition Archive & Reorders
Each custom perfume formula is logged and saved in our private fragrance archive and assigned an individual composition number. If you would like to reorder a fragrance you previously received, enter that composition number in the questionnaire’s optional notes field.
